August is my Fire Month...the anniversary of my ReBirth Day is 8/23, and I will be going to a desert oasis to treat my body well with healing waters, swimming laps, massage and retreat.
I shared this quote with a coaching client yesterday around her not feeling complete because of a medical affliction, and I know a lot of people are going through some intense transitions in life right now with illnesses, divorces, job loss etc...so I want to share it here as well for all of you struggling with feeling "complete" due to these trials.
I was 23 and laying in The Grossman Burn Ward hooked to a Morphine Drip in intense pain from 3rd degree burns over 30% of my body when I first read this quote in a book that a friend of the family just happened to bring in for me.
It immediately made me put down the book and take in the wisdom...cry...read it again...and again...and write it in my journal for safe keeping.
The book itself was not particularly spiritual...it was about the Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory, and more of an epic novel. This quote, however...was the whole reason I was randomly given that book and it became my go to in life for the past 24 years when things got difficult and scary.
